Having Problems Registering Your Fire Tablet to Your Amazon Account?
Incorrect device time, outdated software, or incorrect passwords are often the cause
Want or need a new password? Before you register your device or application, make sure:
- Your device is connected to the Internet.
- Your device or application is running the latest available software version.

To register your Fire tablet outside of the initial setup screens:
- Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap Settings.
- Before you begin, make sure that the device was not pre-registered to another account. If it is, have the account holder go to Content & Devices > Devices and deregister it.
- Make sure the data and time are correct on your Amazon Fire. Swipe down from the top of your home screen.
