Dabo Swinney Shares An Injury Update On Clemson Wide Receiver Tyler Brown

Dabo Swinney shares an injury update on Clemson wide receiver Tyler Brown

Clemson wide receiver Tyler Brown is expected to miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL, according to head coach Dabo Swinney.

Brown suffered the injury during the Tigers' 31-16 win over Boston College on Saturday. He had two catches for 22 yards before leaving the game in the second quarter.

Swinney said Brown will have surgery on his knee this week and is expected to make a full recovery.

"It's a tough loss for us," Swinney said. "Tyler is a great player and a great leader. He's been a big part of our success this season, and we'll miss him on the field."

Brown has been one of Clemson's most productive receivers this season, with 25 catches for 414 yards and three touchdowns.

His injury is a blow to the Tigers' offense, which is already without starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Lawrence is expected to miss at least the next two games with a shoulder injury.

With Brown and Lawrence out, Clemson will need other players to step up in their absence. Swinney said he is confident that the Tigers have the depth to overcome these injuries.

"We have a lot of talented players on this team," Swinney said. "We're going to need them to step up and make plays for us."

Clemson is scheduled to play at NC State on Saturday.
